Purrfect for hydrating kitty
I have an older cat and really wanted to get a water fountain in the hope she would drink more. I needed something that would be really quiet since she dislikes strange noises, was easy to clean, and had a metal drinking base. After looking at several models I ordered this super cute Catit Pixi fountain. Setting it up was easy and I love that the filter is secured into place. While it's easy to see the red light, meaning low on water, seeing the fill line is difficult. I have adjusted to seeing the fill line when I stand back from the fountain. It does hold quite a bit of water. It's also extremely quiet, the only noise you hear is the sound of the water streaming out of the spout hitting the metal. When I called my cat over and said look at what you got, she splashed her paw in it. She has never done this before. She didn't go near it for several days so I started the process of training her to use it. I began unplugging for periods of time during which she would drink out of it, then plugging in it. Now it's plugged in all the time and she drinks from it constantly. I waited until I needed to do a filter change to post this review. Again, it was easy to clean and change the filter. The pump didn't need to pulled apart but I did rinse it clean as it fell slimy. I'm very pleased with this product and will need to get the new rechargeable model in case the power goes out. I don't think my cat could go without this now.

not sure that my new rescue cat knows that its a water bowl just yet lol, but she is somewhat vision impaired so I figured the little night light and the light trickling noise would help her drink, even at night time. so adorable! I hope she comes to love it, I just think shes confused bc shes so used to being outside. easy to put together, quiet, and works as intended. holds way more water than my 5lb baby could need in a day.

Purchased this item after my older Birman cat refused to drink from a larger more elaborate more expensive stainless unit by a different manufacturer. Thought maybe that one was overwhelming to her - shiny, big and with a sound -so tried this one with success. It's relatively small and totally quiet! She drinks quickly so haven't been able to get a picture - but she IS using it! It's easy to clean and cute too! Very pleased and highly recommend!
